Pink Floyd Legend Syd Barrett died in July this year aged 60. I read today that his paintings had raised over £20,000 at auction in aid of 'educational development in art'. Barrett left the band in 1968. I remember a gig in Hyde Park, London, back in the late 60s, early 70s, laying on the grass in the Sun watching the clouds  sweep gently across the sky  as if they too were enthralled by the sound. It was Pink Floyd taking us on a magical  journey and taking music to new frontiers. The band members were back at Hyde Park for the Live 8 concert in 2002.  Purchase Pink Floyd at The Music Shop
