I am not sure about the remake of the Beatles in the
new album Love. I was a Beatles 'fan' back in the 1960s and like all of us I had a favourite Beatle, well actually I had four: john, paul,
george and ringo. I was a john fan if only because I was infatuated with a girl who also liked him; although on the whole
I do prefer the
Lennon vocals. Paul always sounds a bit like someone singing through a drainpipe - sorry Paul. The new album serves to remind us -
as if we ever needed - of the enormous talent and breakthrough in popular music the Beatles represented.
